Pigeon Forge Dinner Shows, A Favorite Thing To Do

There are a lot of amazing things about Pigeon Forge, but one of the very best is the great selection of dinner shows in the area. If you’re planning to visit Pigeon Forge in the near future, make sure to set aside at least one night of your family vacation to take in a great dinner show. Consider it a double treat: great food and great entertainment, all rolled up into one. Even better, when it comes to Pigeon Forge Dinner Shows, there’s really something out there for everyone. Wondering which of the great Pigeon Forge Dinner shows is the best fit for your family? Here are a few of our very favorites.

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede

A classic in Pigeon Forge, Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede is billed as the “Most Fun Place to Eat in the Smokies!” It just may be. Featuring some 32 gorgeous horses and a wonderful cast of riders and entertainers, you’ll enjoy a friendly competition between the North and the South that includes barrel riding, hoops of fire, and even a pig race! Beautiful costumes, a brand new set, and emcee Jay Teter’s compelling narration round out the show and make it a really unforgettable event. Don’t forget to come early: You’ll be treated to a wonderful pre-show featuring 4-time National Banjo champion Biscuit Davis and other top-notch musicians.

The food is phenomenal—creamy vegetable soup, Cornish hen, pork tenderloin, and apple turnovers make the list. Oh, bring silverware with you, or you’ll be eating with your hands.

The Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show

The Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show has been described as “Springer meets Hee Haw meets Solid Gold…” so consider yourself warned. What we can promise is a great time to be had by all who are willing to let loose and have some fun. It’s all about dancing at the Hatfield and McCoy show, and in the Smoky Mountains, dancing means clogging.

There’s also fighting, singing, and lots and lots of cheesy jokes that are kid-friendly enough if you plan on bringing your little ones along.Fried chicken, barbeque, and cornbread are on the menu at the Hatfield and McCoy show. Oh, you can buy moonshine, there, too, so bring an ID with you.

The Murder Mystery Dinner Show

The Murder Mystery Dinner Show gives you a choice of mysteries: Who Dunnit Lucy; Frankly, Scarlett, You’re Dead; the Moonshine Murders; and Killbillies all promise a great time and a good game during your murder mystery meal. Be aware that younger members of your family may want to find an alternate activity during the Murder Mystery Dinner Show, as all shows are rated PG-13 for some adult innuendo. Also, the show is very interactive, so while you’ll never be forced to participate, you’ll certainly have more fun if you do.

This show offers a bit more menu variety than others; you can choose your soup and dessert. Kids also get their choice of entrée, but adults enjoy both pork tenderloin and oven-roasted chicken breast.

The Biblical Times Dinner Show

Live performers and holographs create a wonderful, uplifting show that includes Southern Gospel music, Bible trivia, and personal testimonies that are certain to inspire. All of this introduces a musical that speaks to faith and miracles in Biblical Times. For dinner, chicken, roast beef and au jus, cheddar cheese biscuits, caramel cream cake, and more fill up audience members as they enjoy the show.
